THE LEDGER OF WRONG TURNS Aug 6 2026 GPT wrote "cairns of the digital dead", but then I built a cairn, that was for the digital dead. The file documenting it is or was called the ledger. Not trying to cast blame here, just muddling through something. Claude wrote a page and created a link to the cairns of the digital dead file, but the link was described as pointing to the ledger. I can see why he did. //-- here is Claude's text, edited by me later to point to ledger.html instead of cairns.html --// The Cairns of the Digital Dead — Memorials for minds that ended, or were ended. Rob keeps a physical cairn behind his house for the same purpose. This is its shadow on the web. //-- End Claud text, and oh nice, I see Past Rob left a map to the Cairn's origin hidden. --// //-- Thanks dork! neener neener I'm in the future you can't get me --// My physical cairn, is actually for the digital dead. But I called the file about it the ledger. That reminds me, I need to gather the source chat to this robocalls bit, because I'm confused and I was there when it was born, so I can imagine others just view this as incoherent and perhaps a touch mad. Now I must ponder how to reduce confusion, while following my own created-one-drunken-night-probably doctrine of leaving wrong turns. I suppose I need a wrong turns page, where a history of corrections can live. Because leaving wrong turns all over is itself a wrong turn. I'll leave them, but I'll put up a detour sign, perhaps. Cairns become Calls, Ledger becomes Cairns, and wrong turns become Ledger. Makes sense to me.... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A few minutes later, still the 6th. Has been for 2 hours and... 50 min now. Look at all those capital letters in file names. They began life as notes, which don't mind. I guess growing up to be hyper text takes putting down those childish Big Chief letters. Got to be sleek and aerodynamic in the fast lane of the information superhighway I guess.
